Brightwell's Boathouse and Lund to present AYA Fishing Tournament on Big
Creek Lake.
The Angler-Young Angler (AYA) Tournament will be hosted by Brightwell's
Boathouse and Lund Boats. Look for media coverage on KCCI-TV and the
McLaughlinOutdoors.com webpage. The AYA tournament is designed to team an
adult with two youth, age 17 and under, for an exciting day of fishing, fun
and prizes...including a new Lund boat! Winners may advance to national
competition.
The AYA Tournament, the first ever for Iowa, will be held June 7th from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Big Creek Lake near Polk City.
"I look forward to not only promoting this quality fishing event, but hooking up my own Lund boat and joining my two boys, Aaron and Nathan, for a day of fun on Big Creek," said McLaughlin. John McLaughlin Reveals Secrets to Catching Giant Fish!

and representatives from Lund Boats, the official boat of

Staff will also be available to answer your fishing questions. There will be refreshments and
prizes as well.
This will be a chance for the public to ask questions about how weather impacts fishing,
and what lures are hot for those giant bass, musky and pike you've seen on the McLaughlinOutdoors.com webpage.

McLaughlin Outdoors returns to KCCI-TV.
KCCI-TV Meteorologist John McLaughlin announced today that outdoor segments are returning to KCCI-TV. "With the cooperation of John Brightwell of Brightwell's Boat House,
we will start production of a weekly series of outdoors reports called John McLaughlin's Outdoors Minute."
The reports will feature fishing and hunting tips, vacation ideas, plus safety information relating to all of
Iowa's fishing and hunting seasons. The first segments should appear on-air by late spring 2008.
